Midnight Man

(1966)

CD 10.99

Midnight Man is Davy's second adventure on LP from 1966, and features covers of Lalo Schifrin ('The Fakir'), Beatles ('I'm Looking Through You'), Blind Willie Johnson and Herbie Hancock ('Watermelon Man') as well as 'Stormy Monday' and his own 'No Preacher Blues'.

Redolent of those heady days, it features incredibly evolved guitar arrangements and showcases Davy's inimitable vocal style.

This record can be described as being Davy's "Beat" record and was a hit with Allan Ginsberg, William Burroughs and Alex Trochhi.
