Les Cousins are very proud to reissue one on the most important recordings from the 1960s, Davy Graham's seminal Folk, Blues and Beyond.
This 1965 recording influenced a whole generation of acoustic guitarists and is the first British folk-rock. For this carefully remastered edition we have added five very rare bonus tracks, the 3/4 AD Featuring Alexis Koerner and the classic Anji, and a rare performance of Davy's first use of his DADGAD guitar tuning, "She Moved Through The Fair" an arrangement that was later exploited by Jimmy Page on 'White Summer".
It is impossible to describe the effect of this one album had and continues to hold for a whole new generation of musicians. Robin Denselow describes the record as a 'delayed time bomb'.
Folk, Blues And Beyond is a breakthrough in fusion, mixing Leadbelly, Cyril Tawney and Bobby Timmons with Indian shadings.
This reissue coincides with Davys 2007 tour, in anticipation of his new album Broken Biscuits.
"He's my absolute hero, always will be" BERT JANSCH
"Probably England's greatest guitarist" PAUL SIMON
"I wanted to be Davy Graham." JOHN MARTYN
"Davy was and is the Man" MARTIN CARTHY
